Lindsey Graham is firing back at Joe Biden. Biden was struck dumb when Lindsey announced he was formally investigating Hunter and Ukraine and what if anything Joe did.
Biden said he was embarrassed for Lindsey and angered by the new Senate probe and tried to shame Lindsey into dropping the probe.
Lindsey didn’t buy it for one second and basically accused Biden of playing the victim card: “Joe didn’t pull any punches when he ran against McCain, that’s the way the system works.”
“My conscience is clear, I love Joe Biden as a person, he is a really decent man. He’s had a lot of tragedy in his life, but I have a conscious very clear right now, and I have a duty. If the House is going to shut it down the Senate is going to pick it up,” Graham said.
“It’s not going to work. I like Joe Biden, you know, all I can say is that Joe didn’t pull any punches when he ran against McCain, that’s the way the system works.”
“I feel not only that I’m doing the right thing, I would be laying down on my job-being intimidated into doing nothing is not going to work with me…”
“I believe that Hunter Biden’s association on that board doesn’t pass the smell test.”
“If a republican family member had done this you would not be asking me about my personal relationship with somebody….I love Joe Biden as a person, I’ve traveled the world with him, but we’re not going to give a pass to what is an obvious conflict of interest,” Lindsey added.

CNN’s Don Lemon: “Let me ask you because Lindsey Graham now, who you’ve worked with, who was a friend, who I know there’s video of him saying you are the nicest person he’s ever met. You’re the greatest man. And now he’s asking the State Department for documents for you and your son. What do you say to Lindsey Graham and folks like him?”
Biden: “They’re asking Lindsey Graham, they have him under their thumb right now. They know he knows if he comes out against Trump, he’s got a real tough road for re-election, number one. I am disappointed, and quite frankly I’m angered by the fact. He knows me. He knows my son. He knows there’s nothing to this.
“Trump is now essentially holding power over him that even the Ukrainians wouldn’t yield to. The Ukrainians would not yield to, quote, ‘investigate Biden.’ There’s nothing to investigate about Biden or his son. And Lindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he’s going to regret his whole life.”
Lemon: “What do you say to him?”
