Newt Gingrich has had enough of one Nancy Pelosi and is not shy about telling her. Newt took offense to much of Pelosi’s recent behavior.
A showdown is coming soon between Trump and Pelosi (and Pelosi and the radicals in her caucus). No one knows what will happen, but Trump’s poll numbers have been resilient so don’t dare count him out.
From Newsmax: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was “looking like a jerk” with her comments about wanting to see President Donald Trump in prison, and she’s in a fight she won’t win, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Friday.
“I think she has set the standard,” Gingrich told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “When you say you want to see somebody in jail, probably that person doesn’t respond very well and with Trump you have somebody who always counterpunches.”
Trump, in an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, slammed Pelosi as Being a “nasty, vindictive, horrible person” and unwilling to work on deals.
“His theory is always to hit you two, or three, or four times harder than you hit him,” Gingrich commented. “I don’t think this is a fight she wins.”
He pointed to Trump’s past 10 days and his trips to Japan and to London, calling his actions “very presidential.”
“If the House Democrats stay down here and the president keeps being a world leader, the stature gap will re-elect him just by itself,” said Gingrich. “I think that’s something that the Democrats need to be worried about.”
Gingrich also commented on former Vice President Joe Biden’s flip on the Hyde Amendment, which allows government funds for abortions.
After Biden came under fire from several of his fellow 2020 Democratic presidential contenders for supporting the amendment for years, he reversed his stance on Thursday.
“Poor Joe,” said Gingrich. “He can’t remember what he is busy copying from somebody else and what he has made up on his own.
He can’t remember his own positions. He would like to be in the center and his party won’t let him.”
